Who is liable?

Australian lawyer’s are saying Corey’s parents are not liable.

Legally, it would be ridiculous for the police to expect a 16 year old to pay a $20,000 fine. Unless he already had a ridiculous promoting job from his fame.

One Response to “Who is liable?”

  1. It’s not the fact that its ‘legally ridiculous’ for the police to expect a 16 year old boy to pay the fine. The problem with that situation is that; Corey owed a duty of care to those at the party but, when the guests left his house, it was no longer his duty of care and thus to expect him to pay fines for something that was not of his doing, under his control, nor his responsibility is anymore is what is considered ‘legally ridiculous’
